From the darkness of his unconscious
Jack saw light
For the first time in a long time
Jack opened his eyes
Jack tried to get up
But a foreign force
Prevented it from happening
Jack looked down
And discovered to be tied up to a table
A looney’s table
The table that a mad scientist would use as a playground
Jack wiggled
And twitched
And wobbled
And twisted
But Jack couldn’t free himself from the table
Terrified by the situation
Jack laid his head back
And searched for a tool
Or anything that would help Jack
Free himself from the leather straps
Jack saw a scalpel
On the tray next to the table
If Jack could only stretch his neck long enough…
