EVALUATION
My announcement journey has been full of revelations, expectations and limited time frames. My journey has been documented in a week by week blog, I have done this so I was able to commend any changes and apply it to my action plan allowing me re plan any days or tasks sufficiently.
In terms of this project I have faced a few challenges along the way. My biggest regret was the way my photo shoot turned out. After researching on Pinterest, I had a general idea of how I wanted my images to look. Firstly, was my festival look, the images were quite effective. The images required lot of editing as it was an overcast day however, the final look of them I feel are quite professional. The shoot for my Halloween images turned out to be quite disappointing. Although the look of them are eerie and have an unnerving expression I felt as though the makeup I did on the day didn’t turn out as I originally wanted. This meant that I had to redo the makeup a few times and experiment. After some trial and error, I was able to add and adjust the images and put them into a physical look book.
As my brand required a website I needed to include relevant information and then allow customers to shop the latest trends, and take the questionnaire. However, when it came to creating the website in this format it became increasingly difficult as WIX didn’t allow me to add in certain links. This meant I made a decision to create an app this would instead allow you to shop the service, the website would merely tell the customer about the business and what we do.
Aspects of my business that have gone well are both my research magazine and the physical window box. As part of my announcement design I wanted to create a research magazine that was going to be both visually stimulating and informative. I took from many fashion magazines such as dazed and ID to help me with the design. Each page is a different block colour making it look as editorial as possible. Had I of planning my timing better I would have printed a version out, this would have looked professional, sleek and fitted in with my theme.
