Justice by Sidney Metecalf
Rules-they are made to be broken
A phrase oft repeated by so many mouths
Over ages, a thousand times spoken
Inexcusable actions waned out as harsh truths
Flaws in the law remain widespread
When blind Lady Justice dares gaze at the scene
Oh- she sees nothing but blood red
Sword dropping down swift as the steel guillotine
Judgment unbending and oaken
The cell and the gallows its victim stands twixt
No, rules are not made to be broken
Rules-they are made to be fixed
