Vegetation Vegetation data collection commenced on the site in December 2019 and focused on the gully site only due to the scope of the works . Cover reached near 80 % following treatment compared to less than 10 % at the control site post 2019-20 wet season , which is significantly different . This trend was maintained in 2020-21 ; the cover and biomass were both significantly higher on the treatment than the control site ( Figure 21 ). However , the plant percent basal area and percent litter was still very low following the low rainfall over the 2019-20 wet season . This is associated with a predominance of the annual grasses that have grown from seed mix used at the rehabilitation site . Hence the site remained in D condition . However , the land condition metrics improved in 2020-21 following an average rainfall season . The land condition at the treatment site improved considerably and is now 20 % B condition , 57 % C condition and only 23 % in D condition .
