Cars is a computer animated film from 2006. The film was produced by Pixar Animation Studios and was launched by Walt Disney Pictures. It was directed and co-written by John Lasseter. Moreover, it is the last film produced by Pixar before being bought by Disney. The film was nominated for two Oscars, including Best Animated Film, and won the Golden Globe for Best Animation Film. It was dedicated to Joe Ranft, an actor who died in a car accident during the production of the film.

The brave Lightning McQueen, a rookie and passionate racing car, discovers that the road is made walking when it is lost in the ghost town of Radiator Springs in Route 66. While he was in his way to the Great Piston Cup Championship in California to compete with two veterans, McQueen meets the original characters that inhabit the city, including Sally, Doc Hudson, and Mater. It includes the performances of legends from racing cars like Richard Petty and Cheech Marin.
