Introduction
These days, there are more avenues than ever before to turn your
precious feature into a reality. You've decided you want to make
a movie: a short, feature or documentary. You most likely also
have a ball-park figure of how much money you'd like to have in
your jeans to make this happen.
In making sure that your work is credit worthy, there are of course
many things that you need to consider before you attempt to get
the funding you need. At the same time, I can’t stress enough
how important it is to have faith in what you are doing. In the
words of writer/director Duke Roth Simons whose experience you
will learn from later in this e-book, “People who win Oscars are
humans like us, there is no difference. Just be patient and let
everybody turn you down, because there’ll be 99s no’s and 1
yes…you just need to look out for that yes.”
As we’re all about making sure you find that yes, we’ve compiled
a short series of posts from our blog to answer all of your questions
about funding your film.
