to be extraordinary. I love it,” Edi responds gleefully. Like most students of colour, Edi was focused on joining the school basketball team and making a career out of it. After all he had the perfect height and stature to shine and impress potential scouts that would lead him into the big teams. Unfortunately, a knee injury changed the course of his dream forcing him to join an acting course which he then considered “easy to pass”. “That’s when my life changed (after the knee injury). I wanted a class that would lift my spirits, so I heard about this class called acting, and I went into this class and it fed into my spirit,” Edi reminisces how he landed into acting. While in acting class, the star got to read literature and star in course work plays such as Othello, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Two Trains Running and the Twelfth Night.
