N ATA L I E DAVIS I’m Natalie Davis and I’m an onboard chef for Via Rail Canada. I recently retired from rugby after competing for 14 years at club, premier club, representative and long-listed multiple for the national team. I’ll always consider myself an athlete. Other than working and staying physically active, I love spending time outdoors, enjoying drinks and good food. Most of all, I value time with my family and friends. Why did you join Fight for Charity? I’ve been interested in participating in Fight for Charity for a few years. I finally committed to it this year and I’m so glad I did. I’ve found a new sport and met great people while being part of giving to a great cause. What is your biggest accomplishment? That’s tough. Running the full marathon was a pretty great feeling. What would people be most surprised to learn about you? I do a really mean Worm and I’m a crazy fast speed walker. What is your history with boxing? I had zero boxing training before I started training for Fight for Charity. Once my fight is done, I’d like: To continue with boxing. Sorry, Mom. Favourite TV show: I love Broad City if I want to laugh, but Breaking Bad is a really great series. Favourite movie: My five-year-old self loved Matilda. I haven’t really connected with a movie since then – big shoes to fill. Favourite sport: Rugby Favourite quote: “That sounds like a you problem.” Favourite travel destination: Anywhere hot, beachy, boozy and tasty. Who would play you in a movie? Maybe Pink. It would be a musical. www.fightforcharity.ca | 2019 Annual Fight for Charity | 41
