NOAH
HUGHES
I’m Noah Hughes. I own and run a commercial
real estate investment and development
company, Hughes Development Corporation.
Why did you join Fight for Charity?
I got involved with Fight for Charity when I attended the event as a spectator to cheer on a hockey
teammate of mine who fought last year. I thought the judges gave him a raw deal with a decision
loss, so I entered the fight this year to get a win and gain a measure of redemption for Street Rules
Hockey Club.
What is your biggest accomplishment?
The relationships that I have with my friends, teammates and family. In particular, my beautiful,
brilliant, hilarious, loving and supportive girls, Jessica and Hunter!
What would people be most surprised to learn about you?
I have completed several triathlons and adventure races, including Ironman 70.3 in Calgary and the
Los Angeles Triathlon.
What is your history with boxing?
I had zero boxing experience prior to this. The orientation on Feb. 3 was the first time I ever set foot
in a boxing gym. I’ve always loved fighting, albeit in a much less organized forum, and I’ve always
dreamed of the glory of walking out to a badass song and a bunch of crazy loud fans and knocking a
dude out cold in dramatic fashion. This dream was destined to never be fulfilled, particularly because
I have never trained or even actually considered a real fight. The Fight for Charity presented itself as
a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fulfil a wild and crazy dream. It will test me in the truest sense –
physically and psychologically – while raising awareness and money for an amazing charity.
Once my fight is done, I’d like: A beer.
