J A E LY N N DESCHAMPS I’m Jaelynn DesChamps and I work for the Department of Families for the government of Manitoba. Why did you join Fight for Charity? I’ve been able to see first-hand the impact organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters Winnipeg can have on youth. Having the opportunity to participate in Fight for Charity presented a really fun and different way to help support them. What is your biggest accomplishment? It’s where I’m at in my life right now. I’m 24 and a homeowner; I graduated university with no student debt, I’m on the career path I want and I have an amazing support group of family and friends. What would people be most surprised to learn about you? I’ve lived in Spain and Ireland each for three months at different times. What is your history with boxing? I never boxed or took any boxing-related class prior to getting involved with this event. Once my fight is done, I’d like: To continue taking some boxing classes, but I’m really looking forward to not being punched in the face anymore.
