The College , in partnership with the Prince ’ s Trust , offers this diverse course that helps you to improve your skills , qualifications , confidence , and motivation to increase your employability and give you more focus for the future . This unique course is for young people aged 16-25 years and is designed to provide challenges that bring out the best in you . The staff team are experienced and supportive , and they are committed to young people and their development . A combination of practical activities and classroom work provides a balance that can help you achieve qualifications in an employment focused environment .

This course will allow you to develop skills , confidence , and gain qualifications to assist you to progress to employment , volunteering , or further college courses . This part-time programme is delivered in partnership with Fife Council in your Local Learning Centre and College campus . Entry Requirements
You can be referred through agencies / partner organisations or self-refer through the application process
You will be required to take part in an informal conversation as part of the application process . This group / individual conversation may be an information session , a portfolio discussion , or a skills-based exercise

This course will allow you to develop skills and qualifications in essential skills - communication , numeracy , ICT , and employability units within a small and supportive environment . Achievement of this course may assist you to progress onto a further College programme , employment , or volunteering . You will be provided with support throughout your programme to help with your future choices .
Entry Requirements
One of the following :
Successful completion of Step In or Prince ’ s Trust Programme
Communication , Numeracy , and Information Technology at Access or level 3
Previous work or life experience will be considered and while course is designed for adult returners suitability will be based on a one-to-one interview
Volunteering Skills Award

This course is ideal for anyone about to volunteer or is actively volunteering . The course will give you an opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge and gain a recognised qualification that recognises the contribution that volunteers make . It is delivered in a blended approach of face to face and online learning . You will be supported throughout your studies as you cover three units in Preparing to Volunteer , Volunteering Experience , and a Project .

You must be able to work at SCQF level 3 / 4 in communication
