The BA ( Hons ): Childhood Studies degree programme , delivered in partnership with Queen Margaret University , is designed to provide a rigorous , academic area of study , enabling you to develop the necessary skills and understanding to progress in your career . You will gain knowledge of the multi-disciplinary nature of working with young children and their families , as well as the importance of quality partnerships with parents and other agencies . Central to the degree programme is an interdisciplinary approach , that is underpinned by engagement with social justice , and a focus on children ’ s rights , equality , and inclusive working with families and communities .
Entry Requirements
To apply for this course , you must hold an HND in Childhood Practice or other Childcare based HND qualifications with Graded Unit at grade A or B .
You should have a minimum of 240 SCQF credit points .
You should also have previous and extensive experience of working or work placement in an educational setting .
You will also require a compulsory PVG check through Disclosure Scotland prior to undertaking the work placement element of this course . Fife College will arrange this with you on starting your studies .
