ACCESS TO QUALIFICATIONS |

This course is intended for those interested in pursuing further academic study in a variety of areas . It is a good place to start if you have no qualifications , or if you have very few qualifications , and if you are interested in developing your skills in academic study .
Entry Requirements
This course does not require you to have formal qualifications . However , you will need to be able to demonstrate an interest in learning and an ability to work at SCQF Level 4 .

Our Pathway to Further Studies programme will suit you if you want to develop academic skills and gain qualifications even though you are not yet sure what you want to do in the future . You will have the chance to gain skills in literacy and numeracy , and apply them in a study of psychology , criminology , and crime in Scotland . You will be able to reflect on your strengths and areas for development . You will gain two National 5 qualifications ( English and Modern Studies ) as well as other National 5 units .

Four National 4s in relevant subjects ( such as English , History , Modern Studies , Geography , RMPS , Business Studies )

On this Pathway you will study three National 5 Courses ( or a mix of National Five and Highers ). You can stop at the end of the first year , but most students come back to the second year where you can move onto our Level 6 Pathway course to study Highers . This will allow you to apply for HNCs or HNDs and move on to a university degree , if that is your goal .

Certificate : Start Here for Qualifications
Successful completion of other relevant National 4 Courses ( for example one that contained a fair bit of reading and writing )
