The course is practical in nature , where you will gain skills while working in our in-house purpose-built restaurant . You will develop communication and customer care skills in a customerfacing role . The course will develop your confidence in all aspects of running events within hospitality . The industry is fast-paced , exciting and dynamic and if you have the skills and drive you can be in a supervisory or junior management position within a short period of time .

Advanced Certificate : Travel and Tourism

This course will develop your skills and knowledge in a range of sectors within the travel and tourism industry including airlines , airports , travel agencies , tour operations , visitor attractions operations and cabin crew . You will learn to deliver high quality customer service within this growing sector . You will have the opportunity to visit local tourism attractions to give a flavour of what Scotland has to offer .
Entry requirements
Two National 5s at Grade C or above plus four other National 5 units in relevant subjects ( e . g . English , Modern Studies , History , Maths , Business , Administration and IT , Geography , Politics , RMPS , or any other subjects that require a high degree of literary skills )
Intermediate Certificate : Business , Enterprise and Administration ( to include 12 SQA units at SCQF Level 5 or above , including one at SCQF Level 6 )
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
