Four National 5s at Grade C or above
Acting and Performance at SCQF Level 5 and a Grade A , B , or C pass in the exam
Mature students will be considered on an individual basis

You may be required to take part in an informal conversation as part of the application process .
This group / individual conversation may be an information session , a portfolio discussion , or a skills-based exercise

This very popular course will develop your professional skills and get you ready for employment in a variety of roles including stage , screen , streaming or use of voice e . g . voice overs / podcasting etc . Developing the core professional skills of acting , movement and voice , you will engage in practical projects leading to small and larger scale performances . The HNC is aimed at those who have some previous experience of theatre arts and performance ; perhaps through a lowerlevel course , or interest developed in our popular Youth Theatre courses , or through participation in amateur dramatics .

Entry to the HNC Acting and Performance requires successful completion of :
NC / NQ Acting and Performance at SCQF Level 6
At least 1 Higher from any subject though 1 or more of the following subjects would be useful for this course ; Drama , Dance , Music , English , Media Studies , Modern Studies , History , Science , PE

As a student on this course , you will not only participate in varied and exciting practical workshops focusing on movement , voice , and acting , you will also collaborate with others to create dynamic productions to showcase these skills . In addition , you will learn how to evaluate , analyse , and further develop your skills whilst building a portfolio of your performance work to support you in entering work in the performance industry .

Direct entry into year 2 ( HND ) requires the full , successful completion of the related HNC with 15 SQA credits .
