This is a highly practical course where your creative photographic techniques will develop along with your technical and practical skillsets . Working in our dedicated photography studios and on location , you will acquire skills that are essential for professional / commercial success . Working on your own and with others on a variety of challenging photography briefs will prepare you equally well for employment or selfemployment . This course also prepares you for progression to a degree at university . We will support you to become confident in how to manage your time , resources and photographic workflow and encourage you to explore a wide range of photographic techniques including darkroom / wet process using film and paper .

Entry Requirements
Year 1
Please submit a collection of images ( no more than 12 ) for review by the academic staff . ideally in pdf format .
1 higher at Grade C or above , ideally from music technology , higher music , higher physics plus 2 National 5s at Grade C or above and English at National 5 minimum
National Certificate : Photography SCQF Level 6
Other relevant qualifications and a portfolio demonstrating knowledge , skills and experience .
Year 2
HNC : Photography SCQF Level 7 and portfolio ( Must achieve 15 Credits )

The HND in Sound Production is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in sound production and who wish to develop the knowledge and creative and technical skills required for the sound production industries . It is aimed at those who have some previous experience , perhaps through a lower level qualification , or who show potential and demonstrate a strong interest to develop their skills . This is a creative and technical and highly practical course ; delivered in our uniquely designed specialist professional recording studio complex , it is designed to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for working in the sound production industry .
Entry Requirements
Year 1 One of the following :
One Higher at Grade C or above preferably from a relevant subject plus 2 National 5s at Grade C or above . ( English at National 5 C minimum )
