HND Fashion Design and Production with Retail
My favourite aspect is the design part of the course . We studied a unit in our first year which was called Fashion Commercial & Design , and in this we were designing a collection for a middle market retailer in the UK , exploring what this meant , market trends and designing for a target customer which was quite interesting .
I also really enjoyed the making aspect of the course ; we did quite a lot of sewing which I really enjoyed .
This course has prepared me for further study because when I first started here , I didn ’ t know much about fashion design , and I didn ’ t know how to sew and I didn ’ t know how to do pattern cutting . But now I am going into a fashion design school and I ’ m going to be doing all of the things Fife College taught me how to .
