This broad art portfolio course gives you an excellent grounding in visual arts . If you have studied at National 4 level and wish to progress to further study , or if you have Higher results and want time to prepare a substantial portfolio for entry to art college or HN level study , this is the course for you . It is expected that on completion of this course you will progress on to Advanced Certificate : Art and Design SCQF Level 6 .

Another appropriate creative course at SCQF Level 4
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

This course enables you to broaden and strengthen your creative ability . It provides an ideal platform for career progression in visual arts . The combination of drawing , painting , 2D and 3D design skills , and illustration will give you the opportunity to build a substantial portfolio . You will work on individual and group projects and , where possible , live briefs for real clients .

This introductory course provides a dynamic starting point for a career in fashion . From the outset , you are encouraged to develop an individual approach to garment design and garment manufacture , while working within a team to master the basic principles of fashion design , fashion merchandising , pattern and garment production . The major part of this course is practical and project-based and will involve designing , creating patterns , pattern cutting , and producing a fashion product . Innovative techniques are blended with realistic manufacturing processes . Fashion merchandising investigates the promotion of fashion .
