HND Mechanical Engineering
I originally started studying at Fife College with an NC Foundation Engineering course that gave you the fundamentals of engineering . This involved electrical , mechanical manufacturing , and I took the mechanical route from there I progressed through the NC , HNC and graduated with my HND . It was a friend of mine suggested that I apply to Fife College and study a course that I was interested in , and I have enjoyed every course that I have studied .
Since completing my HND , I took an apprenticeship here at Babcock International and Rosyth Dockyard . My apprenticeship is Mechanical Fitter which entails fitting and fixing all the mechanical devices on ships , from engines , generators and so on .
I want to progress my career at Babcock International and complete my degree and get professional registration .
“ The thing I most enjoyed about studying mechanical engineering was the complex problems and formulas as you get a bit of satisfaction from working them out .”
