The course covers a full range of areas , allowing you to gain exposure to the many different aspects of the digital sector , and enabling you to make a more informed choice as to which area you are most interested in . As well as achieving National Progression Awards in Computer Games Development , Cyber Security and Digital Media , you will also receive a CISCO Certificate on completion of the CISCO Get Connected unit . You will also be introduced to games design and development , including the use of the Games Engine Unreal . Unreal is the world ’ s most advanced and cuttingedge real time 3D creation tool .
Entry Requirements
Three National 3s in Maths , English , and a Science / Technology subject ( preferably with at least one of these areas at National 4 , or at least an indication of ability to work at National 4 level )
If you are able to demonstrate a keen interest in computing or games development then you may also be considered . Work experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis .

The course covers cyber security , developing your skills in digital forensics and data citizenship . Data is one of the fastest growing areas within the computing industry , data citizenship will help you build up your knowledge and skills which are highly sought after . Alongside cyber security , you will learn basic web and software development skills , including HTML5 programming and web design . You will also learn about network infrastructure and hardware computer components .

One of the following :
Three National 4s or equivalent including Mathematics , English and a Science or Technical subject
Certificate : Computing with Computer Games Design & Cyber Security : SCQF Level 4
Work experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

This is an exciting computing course suitable for school leavers or mature students who want to develop their skills in the rapidly growing areas of cyber security , software development and networking required for entering industry or further study at HNC / HND level . On this course you will develop your cyber security and ethical hacking skills . Throughout the course you will use industry standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite , as well as programming and scripting languages such as Java .

One of the following :
Three National 5s at Grade C or above , preferably including Computing Science .
Intermediate Certificate : Computing with Software Development and
Cyber Security SCQF Level 5
Intermediate Certificate : Computing with Digital Media SCQF Level 5
