This is a highly practical course where your creative photographic techniques will develop along with your technical and practical skillsets . Working in our dedicated photography studios and on location , you will acquire skills that are essential for professional / commercial success . Working on your own and with others on a variety of challenging photography briefs will prepare you equally well for employment or selfemployment .
Entry Requirements
Year 1
A portfolio of photography plus one of the following :
Two Highers at Grade C or above , ideally including Photography or English plus two National 5s at Grade C or above
National Certificate : Photography SCQF Level 6
Digital Imaging or Media at SCQF Level 6 and a strong portfolio of 20 images
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
Year 2
HNC : Photography ( 15 credits ) and a portfolio for external applicants

SCQF Level 8
If you want to discover why and how music and sound has an emotional impact on you and others then join us in our unique recording studios to work with bands , solo artists and other creative producers who need your skills to help them realise their creative project . You will explore where and how sound supports other creative content , e . g . sound design , game sound , film sound , television , radio , podcast and vlog production ... Whatever the medium consumed , it is always more interesting with sound .

Year 1
One of the following :
Two Highers at Grade C or above preferably including English and Music Technology or Music
Foundation Apprenticeship : Creative and Digital Media SCQF Level 6
National Certificate : Sound Production SCQF Level 6
National Certificate : Creative Industries SCQF Level 6
National Certificate : Music Performance SCQF Level 6
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
Year 2
HNC : Sound Production ( 15 credits )

SCQF Level 8
The HND Visual Communication ( Year 2 ) further develops your knowledge and skills from the HNC . It prepares you for working freelance or to take up employment . You can also progress to 3rd Year of a degree including our own BA ( Hons ): Creative Enterprise .
