This is a pre-apprenticeship course that develops the underpinning knowledge needed for work in the building trade . It will equip you with the practical skills in preparation for further study or progression to a construction trade apprenticeship .
Entry Requirements
One of the following :
Two National 4s in English and Maths
Successful completion of the School College Partnership course Skills for Work : Construction Craft ( Fife schools only )
Certificate : Access to Construction with lecturer recommendation
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

I left school at the end of fifth year to do my HND in Quantity Surveying at Fife College . In my second year I was given the opportunity to go to London to visit some of the most well-known pieces of architecture in the country , which was a great experience that has continued to motivate me in my career .
After completing my HND at College , I went straight into third year of the degree course at Napier University , which has resulted in me being a year ahead of most people in my year at school .
