This Skill Up course is a project based approach to learning where you will study four projects throughout the year . The project themes include Employability , Business Plan , Travel and Tourism , and Food and Drink . You will have plenty of opportunities to develop practical skills and creative thinking , working with industry partners and various local hospitality and food and drink operators .

This 17-week course , which starts in February and follows on from Certificate : Tourism , Events and Customer Service will provide you with a practical and broad introduction to the fields of business and customer service . You will learn through a mixture of role play , practical work , and theory . You will be expected to participate and contribute in class , and study out with class as needed .

Four National 4 units including English
Certificate : Tourism , Events and Customer Service ( including 7 SQA units at SCQF Level 4 or above )
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis

Advanced Certificate : Tourism , Events and Customer Service

This course will develop your skills and knowledge in a range of sectors within the business , travel and events industry including airlines , airports , travel agencies , tour operations , music festivals , wedding planning and business operations . You will have the opportunity to visit different visitor , event attractions and businesses and to participate in many college and external events .
Entry Requirements
Two National 5s at Grade C or above plus four other National 5 units in relevant subjects ( e . g . English , Modern Studies , History , Maths , Business , Administration and IT , Geography , Politics , RMPS , or any other subjects that require a high degree of literary skills )
Intermediate Certificate : Business , Enterprise and Administration ( to include 12 SQA units at SCQF Level 5 or above , including one at SCQF Level 6 )
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
