Part-time study
Not everyone is able to commit to full-time study . If you ’ ve got a busy life , with family and work commitments , it ’ s not always easy to find the time .
That ’ s why we offer a range of part-time courses that better fits around your lifestyle and helps you learn something new and get the skills you need for the job you want .
You can choose to study a range of courses , from introductory level to HNC / HNDs and degrees , on a part-time basis to fit your studies around your other commitments . Whether day , evening , weekend , distance learning , online , or work-based learning suits you best , we are here to help you find the right option for you . Some courses are even available to apply for at any time of the year , so you can take that first step to your new career whenever you feel ready .
Scottish Wider Access Programmes ( SWAP )
SWAP courses are for adults who have few or no formal qualifications and who have been out of full-time education for at least three years .
SWAP courses provide an alternative route into Higher Education and are designed to give adult learners intensive academic preparation as well as the opportunity to develop the skills and confidence required to study at Higher Education level .
All of our SWAP courses are studied full-time for one year and are designed to prepare you for entry into HNC / HND or degree study through recognised progression routes at Fife College , and at other colleges and universities across Scotland .
