School College Partnership ( SCP )
You don ’ t have to wait until you finish school to start thinking about what you want to do afterwards – you can get a head start on your future by studying one of our fantastic School College Partnership courses as part of your school timetable .
All of our courses are designed to help you develop skills needed for both Higher Education and employment , and help you become an independent , self-motivated , and creative critical thinker .
You could even get ahead of the game on your degree studies , by completing the first year of a degree , via an HNC , while you are still at school !
In many cases , signing up for an SCP course means you can study on a college campus where you ’ ll experience college life , learn new skills in our state-of-the-art facilities , and study in vocational areas – like hospitality , digital , care , engineering , construction , and loads more .
All our courses are developed in line with universities and industry to ensure that you get the skills you really need for your future career .

Foundation Apprenticeships ( FAs )
If you ’ re a Fife school pupil in S5 or above , you can kick-start your career with a Foundation Apprenticeship ( FA ).
This innovative pathway provides a winning combination of real-life work experience and learning the skills that employers want . You ’ ll gain an industry-recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6 – the same level as a SQA Higher .
An FA is also a recognised entry requirement for a Modern Apprenticeship or degree level study , so it can help you progress on to a career or further study .
We have 11 Foundation Apprenticeships available in partnership with Fife Council and Skills Development Scotland ( SDS ). Choose from a range of practical courses , providing a pathway to careers in sectors such as creative and digital media , food and drink technologies , engineering , accountancy and business skills .
