This course will provide you with the basic knowledge , understanding and skills to work competently as a beauty therapist or to progress to further study .
Entry Requirements
You must be a minimum of 16 years of age at the start of your course
You must have manual dexterity , interpersonal skills , and a good understanding of the beauty industry
PLUS one of the following :
A qualification in Beauty Therapy at SCQF Level 4
Three National 4s including English and one Science based subject
Mature applicants will be considered depending on relevant experience

This course is ideal for those who wish to pursue a career in the creative and ever expanding nail services industry . It is delivered by lecturers who are knowledgeable , experienced and passionate about the nail services industry and provides the opportunity to learn the skills and techniques required for employment as a nail technician or as preparation for further study .
Entry Requirements
It is recommended that you are a minimum of 16 years of age at the start of your course , however , Winter Leavers will be considered on production of a successful Transition Form
Please note that parental / guardian consent will be required to enable full participation in some elements of this course if you are under 16
You must have manual dexterity , a pleasant manner and a keen interest in the nail services industry
You may be required to take part in an informal conversation as part of the application process . This group / individual conversation may be an information session , a portfolio discussion , or a skills based exercise
