This course is for those looking to work in the exciting world of petroleum discovery and recovery . It has been designed to meet industry demand for a skilled workforce to work on oil / gas production platforms . You will find out about locating , extracting , and purifying the oil and gas before it is delivered to the refineries .
Entry Requirements
One of the following :
One Higher at Grade C or above in Physics , Chemistry , or a Technology Subject
Foundation Apprenticeship : Engineering SCQF Level 6
National Certificate : Mechanical Engineering SCQF Level 6 ( including SWAP Access to Engineering )
National Certificate : Engineering Systems SCQF Level 6
Another relevant course at SCQF Level 6 accompanied with a good academic reference recommending articulation to a higher level
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
