This course is designed for those who are working within the area of Additional Support Needs ( ASN ) and wish to undertake further professional development . It is also for those who are considering entering this field , who have previously achieved a related HNC award ( or equivalent ).
Entry Requirements
One of the following :
HNC : Additional Support Needs : Supporting the Individual SCQF Level 7 ( G8P2 15 ) is preferred . However , its predecessor HNC : Supporting Learning Needs ( G5ML 15 ) may allow you to credit transfer for the current HNC ( G8P2 15 ) at the College ’ s discretion

In particular situations , you may instead have successfully completed one of the following :

HNC : Social Care SCQF Level 7
HNC : Health Care Practice SCQF Level 7
HNC : Care and Administrative Practice SCQF Level 7
HNC : Childhood Practice SCQF Level 7
HNC : Early Education and Childcare SCQF Level 7
HNC : Social Services SCQF Level 7
You will need a PVG check through Disclosure Scotland in order to go out on the placement ( s ) as part of this course

This course provides the opportunity for those who have an HNC in Counselling to progress onto Year 2 of the HND . It has been designed to provide the relevant underpinning knowledge of theories and ethics required to progress in your career .
