This course covers a variety of core subjects in the principles of technology and will lead to an SQA qualification that is recognised and sought after by employers . It will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to pursue a career or further study in this field .
Entry Requirements One of the following :
Three National 5s at Grade C or above which must include Maths , English , and Physics or a Technology subject
National Certificate : Electrical Engineering SCQF Level 5
National Certificate : Engineering Practice SCQF Level 5
Another relevant engineering course at SCQF Level 5 including Maths : Craft 1 and 2
Relevant industry experience and / or other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis
National Certificate : Engineering Systems ( Renewable Energy Skills )
SCQF Level 6 Full-time

This course encompasses an SQA National Certificate in Engineering Systems , which will provide you with the underpinning knowledge to enter the renewable energy industry as a Modern Apprentice or as a trainee , alongside a skills-based PEO qualification from EAL , which will provide the workshop / hand skills essential for a career in the renewable energy industry .

Minimum of three National 5s , which must include Mathematics , and Physics or a Technical subject at Grade C or above
Candidates with appropriate experience ( in lieu of qualifications ) may also be considered
FABRICATION AND WELDING National Certificate : Fabrication and Welding Engineering

On this course you will gain a recognised SQA National Certificate : Fabrication and Welding at SCQF Level 5 as well as a large amount of practical training to develop your understanding and skills in the processes and techniques used in fabrication and welding .
Entry Requirements One of the following :
Three National 4s including Maths , English , and a Science / Craft subject
Successful completion of the three National 5 Mathematics Units or the two National 5 English Units will also be acceptable if the applicant has achieved these rather than National 4s in these subjects
