SCQF qualifications explained
What is SCQF?
Because there are so many different types of
qualifications, it’s a good idea to be able to compare
them all. That’s where the Scottish Credit and
Qualifications Framework (SCQF) can help. The SCQF
has aligned all of Scotland’s different qualifications to
a universal level based on their difficulty.
The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework
(SCQF) covers qualifications gained at school,
college, university, and in the workplace. It gives each
qualification a level – the higher the number of the
level, the more difficult the qualification is.
Use the Qualification Ladder to work out where you
currently are and what steps you can take to get to
where you want to be. The qualifications on each step
show you the different pathways available.
