Campeonato Europeo, gracias a una gran
campaña: clasificaron invictos y sin recibir
goles a los cuartos de final, donde se impusieron por 3-0 a Italia. En semifinales avanzó frente a Bélgica en definición por penales, mientras que en el compromiso por el
título goleó nada menos que a Alemania,
por 4-1.
Su buen presente convierte a Francia en
otro de los serios aspirantes para lograr la
Copa del Mundo.
