s la única Selección de la presente edición que debutará en la Copa Mundial
Sub-17 de la FIFA. Los “Bafana-Bafana”,
tienen en este grupo a una de las grandes
esperanzas para el futuro de su fútbol y
lo demostraron en el Campeonato Africano de la categoría, donde consiguieron el
subcampeonato, después de caer contra
Malí.
En su clasificación dio una de las grandes
sorpresas, al derrotar en las semifinales a
Nigeria por 1-0, consiguiendo así su primer pasaje al Mundial y la mejor actuación
continental, ya que hasta acá, su resultado
más importante había sido un cuarto lugar
en el certamen del 2005.
En Chile 2015, Sudáfrica, en palabras de
su técnico, Molefi Ntseki, luchará contra el
hecho de ser un novato en este tipo de
competencias, pero también buscará dotar de experiencia a un plantel en el que se
tienen muchas expectativas futuras.

t is the only National Team in the present
edition to debut in the FIFA U-17 World
Cup. The “Bafana-Bafana” has in this group
one of the greatest hope for the future of
their football and they showed it in the African Championship of the category, where
they got the runner-up after losing to Mali.
In their qualification they gave one of
the biggest surprises, by defeating in the
semi-finals Nigeria 1-0, achieving with that
their first ticket to the World Cup and the
continental Best Performance, because up
to here, their most important result was a
fourth place in the 2005 tournament.
In Chile 2015, South Africa, in the words of
their coach Molefi Ntseki, will fight against
being a novice in this type of competition,
but also will seek to provide experience to
a team in which there are many future expectations.
