s otra de las selecciones que en Chile
viene a saldar una deuda, ya que pese a
todo el poderío que ha demostrado a nivel
adulto, Alemania no posee en sus vitrinas
el título de Campeón del Mundo de la categoría Sub-17.
En las últimas tres ediciones en las que
participó ha quedado eliminada con el
cuadro que, finalmente, terminaría siendo
el campeón: 2007 ante Nigeria en semifinales; el 2009 contra Suiza en octavos de
final y en 2011, frente a México, también
en la ronda de los cuatro mejores. Su mejor actuación fue en China 1985, cuando
la RFA consiguió el subcampeonato.
La joven “Mannschaft” llega al Mundial
como la actual subcampeona de Europa. En el torneo clasificatorio continental
tuvo una gran campaña, ya que ganó
todos sus partidos y no concedió goles
hasta la final, donde fue derrotado por
Francia (4-1).

China 1985, when West Germany achieve the
Runner-up.
The young “Mannschaft” arrives in the World
Cup as the current Runner-up of Europe. In the
continental qualifier championship they had a
great campaign, as they won all their matches and did not concede goals until the final,
where they were thrashed by France (4-1).
