Installing Laminate
Tops
Illustrated Method Sheet 121
Step 1 Prepare the Cabinets

Install Build Up over any Base Cabinets that will receive laminate tops.
(See Section 1 IMS 118)
1.2
In the case of Laminate Tops,
relieve the build up in the front and
back of a sink space, and at any flush
ends such as stove openings.
Laminate Counter Tops
are a tried and tested so-
lution for kitchen counter
surfaces.
They are relatively in-
expensive, very durable
and have very
inconspicuous seams.
They do require a few
specialized tools and
skills to install, but
anyone with experience
in cabinetry installation
should be able to
navigate.
