9.3 Apply a liberal amount of glue to one of the joint surfaces and spread it to cover the entire mating surface of the joint. Slide the two counter parts together and begin placing the draw bolts from below. Begin with the front and back bolts first, tightening them only until they are snug enough to stay in place without falling out. Do the same for the center bolts. 9.4 Adjust the countertop halves so they are flat from the top surface and the index lines align perfectly using a hammer and block or a plastic faced mal- let. Once a section lines up flat with no noticeable change in eleva- tion across the joint, snug up the draw bolt beneath that portion of the top. Repeat along the joint a few inches at a time until the joint is completely closed, flat and each of the draw bolts are tightened. Set aside to let the glue harden. ©2017 PCS Professional Cabinet Solutions. All Rights Reserved. Section 1: IMS 121 16
