Step 3 Scribe Mark the Laminate Top to the Wall Condition
Scribing is the process of tracing a particular wall condition to the edge of a countertop and then cutting the
top to the traced line to mimic the wall condition with the cut edge of the top. If done well, this process will
minimize or hide any undulations in a wall or out-of-square conditions in a corner where a top will mount.
Prepare and place the top parallel to the cabinet faces before scribe marking so that the front of the top will
remain parallel to the cabinets when the back of the top is cut to fit the wall.
