SP.4 Carefully place the Wood Top in its opening again with the opposite end down. If the weight of the Wood Top will damage the wall at the raised end before it is cut to fi t completely, use a block of some sort such as scrap lumber to relieve the stress on the side wall. Set the scribe tool to align with this new mark and draw a line across its end that corresponds to the wall. Finished Top Niche Scribe Process Top View Wall to Wall Niche Dimension Ensure Front of Top is Parallel to Front Face of Cabinets Front View Scribe Tool Set to Measured Mark on top at Cabinet Face Depth Place the Uncut End of the Top Into the Opposite Cornerof the Opening and Mark the Wall Condition Onto the Top with a Scribe Prevent Damage of the Wall from the Top by Relieveing its Weight With a Temporary Block 120 Remove the Wood Top and scribe cut the end to the new line. At this point, it should fi t snug to the wall condition from side to side. Confi rm that it is still parallel to the front face of the cabinets and make any adjustments necessary to correct the fi t.
