Scribe Mark the Wood Top to the Wall Condition
(Two Wall Corner With Open End)
3.1 Place the Wood Top in position. Confi rm that it is parallel to the front of the cabinet face and as far against each
wall as it can go while still remaining parallel to the face.
Typically, gaps will exist between the Wood Top and walls at some point. If the gaps are larger than 1/8”, scribe mark
the Wood Top to the wall to trace the wall condition onto the Wood Top for cutting or grinding.
Note the location where the gap is the largest along a wall and set the scribe tool to mark that dimension.

3.2 Apply masking tape to the perimeter of the
Wood Top along the edges that will contact the walls. Do
not allow the tape to span or obscure the gap between it
and the wall.
Using the scribe tool, trace the wall condition
with a crisp line onto the masking tape.
Reset the scribe tool for the largest gap dimension on
the returning wall and repeat.
