Prep and Place Tall Cabinets

assumes the Base and
Wall Cabinet Index Lines
have been drawn from
the Highpoint on the
fl oor, stud edges have
been located and the
cabinet locations for the
entire installation have
been identifi ed.

Confi rm Tall Cabinet
doors and frames are removed
and neatly stored out of the
way.
The tall cabinets are the
fi rst cabinets to be placed
and secured in a typical
installation. Inattention to
detail at this point will
affect the entire
installation.

Measure up 34-1/2” from the bottom of
the side of the Tall Cabinet that will be attached
to other Wall and Base Cabinets. Make a small
mark at this dimension along the back edge of
the side panel.

Identify the loca-
tion on the wall where the
edge of the Tall Cabinet will
align.
There should be a plumb
line lightly drawn on the
wall at that point from the
layout process.
Slide the Tall Cabinet into
position against the wall.
