SECTION 2 HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
This product is not classified as dangerous goods under the Australian Dangerous Goods Code but is classified as
hazardous according to the classification criteria of NOHSC:1008(2004), Approved Criteria For Classifying
Hazardous Substances and the National Code of Practice for the Preparation of Material Safety Data Sheets 2 nd
Edition [NOHSC:2011(2003)]:
Exposure to pyrethrins and 2-butoxyethanol can result in harmful effects at higher concentrations. However, the
concentrations of pyrethrins and 2-butoxyethanol in this product are below the cut-off concentrations for harmful
effects specified for these materials by the Australian Safety and Compensation Council (ASCC).
However, the concentration of formaldehyde is slightly above the concentration cut-off for certain harmful effects
(≥0.2% Conc. >1%) which should be taken into account in the classification of hazardous substances.
