UBI CARITAS ET AMOR, DEUS IBI EST ( where there is Charity and Love,
there God abides)
With this Jesus teaches us that love and charity is action and not some fairy tales. 1John 3:18 says "my little children let us not love in words, neither in tongues; but in deed and in truth".
Love is something you do, not just what you feel. Love is not about attraction or arousal. Real love goes beyond sentimentality and settles at action. A lot of people are always mistaken about love once they see a poor person, and they feel sorry for their situation, and even shed tears, they are convinced that they have shown love, NO, that is not it. What have you done for the poor person? What have you done to make life better for the handicapped? Many Christians are religiously insensitive to the need of their neighbours. Those really in need of assistance are bypassed by people who should be helping them. What is your attitude towards the less privileged around you? Those you are far better of? Towards your neighbours, towards even your enemies? show love, be charitable, and the God of Love shall surely abide in you. Ubi caritas et amor, Deus Ibi est.
