Black Pepper

Black paper or Piper nigrum L is from family Piperacea, we plant it because our aim for product is black pepper. As we can know the demand for black pepper is high and black pepper trees also are suitable with this plantation

Temperature that black pepper trees need is around 10-40 degree Celsius and the rainfall is around 125 cm – 200 cm or 2000mm per year. Soil pH conditions also around 4.5 pH to 6.0 pH. Pits for planting black pepper are around 0.5 meter, spacing is 2.5 x 2.5 meter and trench is 15 cm deep and wide. This cropping is need shading, so that is why we planted it below Azadirachta inidica. Then, for pruning is at 1.6 meter height and we harvest it when reach third to fourth year.
