The Life of Fraser
High: Artwork
By: Andrew Kauffman
Where would we be without art? Life would be flavorless. Our minds
would slow down considerably - without art, it’d be very hard to understand things. In fact, it’s almost impossible to imagine life without the
elements of design. Think about a classroom with no colorful bulletin
boards, no drawings or posters hung up, no pictures in the textbooks.
Luckily for us however, art is a part of our world. In fact, it’s almost
impossible to go through a day of school without seeing it. We see it
everyday in the halls, the classrooms, and I’m sure even the bathroom
has someone’s crude drawings on the wall.
Do we really notice all the hard work that goes into these beautiful
works though? The amount of detail in some of them are amazing, and
one would never guess how much time and talent goes into the artwork.
In this article, I would like to showcase some of the marvelous time and
talent that makes our school a little more interesting.

feits in the photography department are also showcased.

pencils, paint or sculpting tools, but only glue and magazines. Artistic talent was almost
irrelevant here, but creative talent was crucial.
(right/lower) The
artists’ works aren’t just
simply for a grade. Many of
them end up being beautiful
design for the school. Some
of them become a part of the
school itself for years, much
like the hallway shown to
the right or the beautiful
paintings made by the art
club.
Whether it be cutting magazine pictures and pasting them onto a collage, or
painting elaborate paintings on volcanoes, art is everwhere. And, no matter
what form it’s in, the beautiful creativity behind it all is a constant.
