The year of 2005 was undoubtedly a year of movement and maturity for both the nation and the music industry. Overcome by the devastation caused by natural
disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, the nation retreated to music as a source of relief and relaxation. But now it’s 2006, and that means out with the old and in with
the new. There’s a healthy mix of new artists ready to start the new year with a new career. From rock to hip-hop, there’s something new for every music fan. This
year has already proven to be the year of innovative, revolutionary music and artists. Now that 2005 is over, the good, bad, and ugly of that year can be put in the rear
view, and new music and artists put on the horizon.

Jamison Covington and
Parker Case hooked up in 2003
to form the conveniently
named band JamisonParker.
After trading demos via mail,
the two couldn’t resist making
their solo acts into a duo one.
Like any true up-and-coming
artist, JamisonParker has a
unique road-to-stardom tale.
In April of 2003, the boys were
invited to the annual Skate and
Surf festival in Asbury Park,
NJ. With the sole intention of
viewing their favorite bands,
Jamison and Parker accepted.
The day before the festival, the
duo preformed at a couple late
night parties. By the morning,
the word of the superb performances spread and they became the newest artists on the
Skatefest’s roster.
Jamison and Parker are the
perfect combo. These two
work flawlessly together to
create thought provoking, attention-grabbing songs. Their
debut, “Sleepwalker,” is a collection of skillful lyrics,
groundbreaking acoustics, and
incredible production.
This R&B trio was born and
raised in Hamburg, Germany.
Born to a Germany mother who
sang and a Senegalese dad, who
was a jazz musician, it was almost destined for these three sisters to become music stars. In
1998 Sophie, the oldest, and
twins Amina and Jazz formed
