However, with the sheer num- ber of beer brands available glob- ally, what is the secret behind hooking the taste buds of beer drinkers? A catchy brand name, eye- catching packaging, and of course, a good product, may be the answer. In 2010, Kevin and Marisa Selvy built on their passion for beer in Colorado’s Rocky Moun- tains, establishing the Vail Val- ley’s first beer production brew- ery. “Today, Crazy Mountain is the 39th largest beer brewery in the US, and we are now export- ing to 10 countries around the world,” says Kevin Selvy, founder and CEO of Crazy Mountain. Before you even taste the ar- ray of beers offered by the com- pany, it is hard not to be drawn to the aesthetically pleasing packaging of Crazy Mountain’s beers, which features an array of animals that can be found on or near the Rocky Mountains. Then, it is time to assault your taste buds, as Crazy Mountain offers a range of craft beer that includes the best-selling Amber Ale and the Snow Cat coffee stout, which is today the third best-selling beer in Sweden, says Selvy. Other noticeable brands in- clude the Creedence Pilsner, the Lava Lake Wit wheat beer, the Old Soul Belgian-style ale, and the Shane McConkey India Pale ale. For Asian beer lovers, good news is on the horizon, as Crazy Mountains has just secured a dis- tribution deal with Singapore’s Beerstyle Distribution, which will begin the distribution of Crazy Mountain brands later this year, beginning in Singapore. Pointing out the enormous potential of the Asia market, Selvy maintains: “Unlike other regions in the world, including the US, Asian consumers warm up to craft beer at a much faster rate, and we see a really appre- ciation in the region for complex flavours, which we are looking to satiate with our range of beers.” YOUR FUTURE SOLUTION, IN THE PRESENT.
