10 FHA2018 SHOWDAILY 2 7 A p ri l 2 0 1 8 Tramontina has whatever you need BRAZILIAN supplier of kitchenware Tramontina makes the bold claim that it has whatever you need. The company has 18,000 products, in- cluding kitchen knives, professional knives, machetes, pocket knives, daily use table- ware, kitchen utensils, cookware, non-stick roasting pans and frying pans, barbecue grills, skewers, and scissors. “We export to more than 120 countries worldwide and we are doing very well in Asia-Pacific where our biggest markets are the Philippines and Papua New Guinea. “Hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, eat- eries and homes are all our customers,” says Guilherme Debiasi, general sales manager of Tramontina Singapore. “A show like FHA is good for us for branding efforts. Our brand is young in the market; many people may know us as producer of knives but not aware of our wide range of kitchenware products. “We have pots and pans, fork-and-spoon sets, chopping boards, vacuum flasks, even small dining tables and barbecue carts “We have had value from being at this show. At FHA we meet potential custom- ers. Yesterday, we had meetings with a prospective customer in Thailand. “In the previous FHA show, we met prospects from Vietnam and Laos that we were able to convert to customers soon after.” Guilherme Debiasi, general sales manager of Tramontina Singapore, beside an interesting showcase of Polywood knives displayed at booth 3L1-07. Robot found love at CYC A FIRM believer of incorporating tech- nology in the workplace, CYC Corporate Label, an expert uniform outfitter to the hospitality, corporate and F&B profession- als, has recruited a robot to help attract traffic to booth 6J4-01. The cooperation was such a success that the robot, who remains nameless, seems to favour one of the CYC staff manning the booth. Nick Isa, corporate sales executive for CYC, cannot explain the robot’s affec- tion for him, and says the android crowd sensation usually follows him around. For those interested in hiring out a robot to grace their events, see Solu Star’s Louis Loo, who shares booth space with CYC.
