Guaranteed by our knowledge of the market, we have re- cently made heavy investments in research and development. “We have taken locks and access control to a higher level; this is the result of our ori- entation in a single direction — the hotel.” The Omnitec range of locks and ac- cess controls meets the security standards required in hotels at both the electronic and mechanical level. These include the Activa and Smartpass branded anti-panic systems that allow emergency entry or exit, anti-card systems that prevent undesired entries using unconventional methods, and automatic latch projection systems to provide additional security. “The data is encrypted on the identifica- tion media, including the registration in the memory of a hidden auditable mechanical cylinder to perform emergency openings,” says Linssen. “We have tropicalised electronic circuits and mechanical systems manufactured in stainless steel to guarantee their operation, even in the most extreme climates.” The company has recently developed four new models of the ‘Mifare’ proximity electronic lock — three free-turn mod- els and one fit-in model. These have an electro-mechanical privacy function with an exterior visual indicator to prevent entry by unauthorised persons. “The Omnitec X-Clusive electronic cylinder is the best option for modernis- ing doors with a mechanical lock — which gives a modern dimension to the room, regardless of whether it is a hotel or office,” says Linssen. “Its installation is easy, and it adapts to any type of previous lock or obsolete technology. “We also offer a lift control unit that has been designed to integrate into the management panels of the lift and increase the security of the hotel. “With this unit, the guest can only access those floors for which he has been granted permission. So much additional safety for everyone!” Consumers are increasingly choosing industry concepts that match their values in order to feel good about the dining experience. Local supply chain, eco-friendly and no-waste concepts are growing in popularity. — Ivan Uzunov, Research Manager, Euromonitor International
