Ready-to-eat Tee cups from Red Lips Foods
THE idea of eating a tee cup may sound much less bizarre when one looks more closely at the spelling of the word! A popular Peranakan heritage dish, the Kueh Pie Tee is often prepared during festive occasions, and is traditionally served with bang kwang, white carrot, fried bean curd and prawns.

Much like tofu is a staple food in many Asian countries, so too is cheese in France. But while the latter has traditionally been consumed casually in Asia, its popularity has continued to soar, says Francois-Xavier Rougagnou, grand export overseas general director, Lactalis International.

“ Do you know that the consumption of a can of Coca-Cola is equivalent to 10 litres of full cream?” he asks.“ However, nobody consumes 10 litres of full cream in one sitting. However, in moderation, one litre of full cream, for example, is beneficial to your health.”
