First-time exhibitor Armenia offering bounty from its forests and mountains

ARMENIA, a first-time exhibitor at FHA2018, is highlighting products from three food manufacturers: EcoVek, Agrar Armavir and ArPhytoPharm.
Showcased at booth 5J3-10, Singapore Expo, products on display include home-cookedstyle eggplant and fried vegetable purees; healthy pine cone syrup; and wild herbal teas from Armenian forests in the Caucasus Mountains.

Samvel Grigoryan, director of Ecovek, explains:“ We value the food traditions that have been passed from generation to generation. We believe that this is the best possible way to deliver the precious cultural heritage to consumers in other countries.”
He adds:“ Our syrup is a good source of calcium, and one tea- spoon per day has been shown to improve bone health and prevent osteoporosis. It is also rich in vitamins C and A, which will help strengthen the immune system and may prevent illnesses.”

WACS issues invite to Asian chefs

The World Association of Chefs’ Societies( WACS), or Worldchefs, a global network of chefs’ associations is at FHA2018 not only to support the ongoing FHA Culinary Challenge, but also to invite F & B players to its biennial Worldchefs Congress & Expo in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from July 11-14 this year.
“ Worldchefs Congress & Expo has been hosted by Euro pean and Nordic regions in recent years, and we couldn’ t be happier about coming back to Asia,” said Thomas Gugler, president of Worldchefs.“ Asia boasts the fastest-growing number of members in Worldchefs and is a top rising economy.
