How to Break Up
with Toxic Emotions

ave you been holding on to
strong negative emotions
including anger, resentment or
guilt from an experience or situation in your past? Perhaps it was an argument with a loved one that you still get triggered by today. Or maybe it was something someone did to you as a child or teen that still provokes strong emotions and might even bring you to tears. This is what I call a toxic emotion. Many of us get stuck carrying toxic emotions for years. We might even bring these emotions into new relationships and oftentimes these emotions change the meaning we give to new situations.
